Many people have commented on how heavenly our cakes taste and how exquisite they look. Our response to them, we pay special attention to detail, integrating our unconditional love as a part of every one of our cakes. From cupcakes to the largest of tiered cakes, down to the finest details of textures and the tiniest of sprinkles. We don’t hold back on color, taste, or style, and as our customer, your wish is our command.
Hey guys! I am Chiantae Campbell, the Founder, and Pastry Chef here at Chic Little Cakes, a space specially created for all lovers of sweet treats. I grew up in Jamaica, where creativity runs through all of us. Growing up on that beautiful island was instrumental in shaping the person I am today, and more importantly, in the designs of our creations.
You’re probably wondering how someone who grew up on an island ended up making cakes instead of going to the beach! Well, my love for making cakes started many years ago, as a young and curious girl, watching my sister experiment with whatever ingredients we had available in the kitchen at that time. The aroma drifting through our home every weekend was so alluring that I couldn’t wait for the next weekend so we could do it all over again! It wasn’t long before I became fully addicted, my passion, skills, and palate were maturing as a young baker. Something within me wanted more, a desire that inspired me to take a leap of faith and open my own business. Anchored upon my passion for cupcakes, I was already operating a business from home at the age of 15, an attribute that earned me the title ‘Cupcake Queen’.
Motivated by the desire to become a global expert in my field, I went on to study Patisserie and Baking at the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts, where I graduated with honors and have since learned from the very best, including Rebecca Moesinger, Joanne Chang where I worked at the famous Flour Bakery & Cafe in Boston, MA, and Frederic Delaire from my days as a pastry cook at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. The fire within me burned fiercely and landed me a spot as a competitor on the 7th season of Food Network’s "Spring Baking Championship” leveraging the wisdom of my learned and acquired knowledge and skills to compete against some of the best bakers across America.
Chic Little Cakes officially opened in Miami in 2019. I started out making cakes for friends and supplying my cousin’s office with samples, an action that quickly materialized into orders and so much more! The focal points of our business include custom cakes, tartlets, doughnuts, and deliciously delectable sugar cookies, amongst other fine confections. A lot of our personality goes into each and every one of our designs, which is why we love to add bold colors and fresh florals and believe that anything is better with a touch of gold! Our cakes can be vibrant, flamboyant, funky, or even delicate and dainty, the choice is all yours. Simply imagine the thought of having your dream cake, and eating it too!
We have worked extremely hard on mastering the techniques needed for designing our cakes, so now the time has come for us to capture YOUR imagination in YOUR very own limited edition designer cake.
